Field Engineer

Job Summary
Provide field-based construction management and engineering support for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to verify work conformance with contract documents and permits. Prepare daily reports tracking construction progress, schedule issues, and QA/QC activities. Review and manage submittals, RFIs, PCOs, and change orders while documenting field adjustments. Support field inspections, monitor contractor compliance, and report non-conformance issues. Coordinate quality assurance efforts, including special inspections and third-party testing. Ensure jobsite compliance with SWPPP requirements and safety standards. Troubleshoot field engineering issues and recommend practical solutions to project leadership. Participate in construction meetings to maintain stakeholder alignment. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3–7 years of construction management experience. A valid driver's license and ability to travel between Arizona project sites are required. Competitive salary commensurate with experience; contact HR for location-specific details.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) from an accredited institution
- 3–7 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or project delivery of civil infrastructure projects
- Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, project specifications, permitting, and contract documentation
- Familiarity with project management tools and construction administration processes (e.g., RFIs, submittals, change orders)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel between multiple project sites in Arizona
Desired Qualifications
- EIT or PE license
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
