Job Summary
Field Engineer to support US operations for Siemens and Vestas platforms, providing engineering support to onsite repair teams, leading remote fault analysis, developing work instructions for repairs on US sites, and assisting with turbine spare parts and SCADA-related issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and fault analysis, maintaining technical knowledge through workshops, developing strategic/tactical plans to reduce costs, and analyzing fleet performance to reduce downtime and improve mean time between failures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, 5+ years of experience with Siemens or Vestas Wind Turbines, proficiency with electrical systems, ability to read circuit diagrams/schematics, strong collaboration and customer communication skills, and a valid driver’s license; candidates must pass physical and drug/alcohol screening.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related subject
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience, with Siemens or Vestas Wind Turbines
- Proficient in identifying and resolving issues with electrical systems (Converter Systems, Pitch Systems, and Control/Communication networks)
- Able to read circuit diagrams/schematics
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with field technicians or engineering colleagues
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening
