Job Summary
Field Engineer - Structures/Steel to join our client’s civil construction team. Responsibilities include leading daily meetings with project crews to ensure availability of materials, equipment and resources; collecting, coordinating, and analyzing shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements; providing technical input for project work plans and schedules; identifying risk elements affecting budget or schedule and recommending solutions; evaluating daily production and budget projections; notifying team of significant schedule changes and recommending corrective actions; managing cost coding for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities; reviewing and approving daily timecards; conducting quality assurance reviews of project specifications; initiating permits and inspections; conducting Job Hazard Analyses to maintain safety; attending weekly safety meetings and presenting field analysis; assisting in development of design drawings and providing technical input; coordinating subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews. Includes on-site field engineering duties, coordination with project leadership, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- A minimum of 6 years of experience as an Engineer with heavy field interface experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of Procure (or equivalent), Blue Beam, and HCSS
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Supervisory experience is preferred
