Field Engineer - SMP/Pre-Assembly

Job Summary
Provide field engineering expertise for a pre-assembly program on the Eva Copper Mine project, developing work scope packages and cost estimates, performing field material take-offs and requisitions, conducting inspections for structural, piping and electrical scopes, coordinating with the Electrical FE, reviewing quality documentation, interpreting design requirements for conformance to drawings and codes, trouble-shooting issues with design engineers or fabricators, documenting field changes and non-conformances, and supporting Superintendents to establish manpower, tools, and material needs while tracking progress and turnover of preassembled structures.
Required Qualifications
- Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience with minimum of 5 years of construction work experience in the civil/structural discipline
- Experience in engineering of process plants or materials handling plants in Australia
- Strong knowledge of project engineering processes and procedures
- Experience and proven ability to manage SMP engineering packages
- Experience in rigging construction practices and current knowledge of new methods of design and construction
- Effective communication skills along with demonstrated supervision skills
- Solid planning and problem-solving skills
- Work includes field inspections which require physical capabilities described in the posting
Desired Qualifications
