Job Summary
Field Engineer to assist Project Management with field information for scheduling, work coordination, and implementation of field activities. Coordinates documentation flow for change orders, logs for as-built information, and resolution of RFIs, non-conformances, FDRs, and field discrepancies. Interfaces with PM, Field Sup, contractor, design team including Engineer of Record and QA/QC personnel; identifies issues, analyzes root causes, prepares corrective actions, and monitors QA/QC for turnover and sign-off; requires extensive travel and proficiency in shop drawings and 3D modeling tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least five (5) years related experience in the coordination of structural steel projects
- Ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings
- General understanding and knowledge of basic drafting skills, Tekla practices, REVIT and NAVISWORK or other similar 3D modeling software
- A clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel out of state up to 50%
- Extensive coordination with PM, Field Superintendent, contractor, and design team
