Job Summary
Field Engineer responsible for field planning, coordination of on-site activities, and monitoring subcontract work. Will assist in tracking project status and communicating progress to Management, review work plans, contribute ideas for cost reduction, and ensure compliance with contract specifications. Must read and comprehend sanitary sewer and storm pipeline drawings, maintain safe working environments per PURIS Safety Policies, manage relationships with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and on-site personnel, and help ensure schedules and client goals are met. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years in utility construction; strong communication, multi-tasking, and independent teamwork abilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in utility construction
- Knowledge of sanitary waste and storm water collection systems
- Knowledge of best practices to replace or rehabilitate sewer lines
- Ability to read and comprehend Sanitary Sewer and Storm Pipeline Drawings
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Adaptable and calm under pressure
- Expert problem solver
