Job Summary
Review contract documents for discrepancies between site, architectural, and structural plans, initiating RFIs to clarify dimensions. Direct crews in establishing dimensional control lines and elevations using owner benchmarks, while collaborating with surveyors and authorities to identify property lines and resolve layout conflicts. Maintain daily contact with superintendents to organize field support for concrete pours, steel placement, and embeds, and verify concrete quantities before ordering. Monitor dimensional control of subcontracted work, check plan accuracy, and perform on-the-job training for subordinates. Assume responsibility for instrument maintenance and security, discuss construction problems with leadership, and evaluate impacts on adjacent properties. Requires B.S. in construction management or related field, OSHA 30-Hour certification, and high math proficiency. Required Qualifications
- B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field
- 4 years of commercial construction field engineering experience
- Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training
- High level of math proficiency
