Job Summary
Field Engineer role supporting field installation activities: conduct walkdowns, verify layouts, resolve constructability issues, assist with inspections, maintain as-built documentation, and provide accurate progress and quantity tracking to field supervision. Responsibilities include relaying RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors; performing layout verification and site surveying; identifying and resolving constructability issues and design interpretation; supporting quality inspections and testing by listing completed tag items for quality inspections; coordinating with foremen and supervisors; performing installation audits and tracking updates for client reporting; working with Construction Management and Superintendents to provide constraints reports impacting productivity; and performing other related duties as assigned. Requires BS in Construction Management or related field and experience in electrical/instrumentation construction; willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management or related field
- Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
- Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance at work
