Job Summary
Field Engineer role based in Vernon, TX supporting field installation activities such as walkdowns, layout verification, constructability issue resolution, inspections, and maintaining as-built documentation. Responsibilities include relaying RFIs and submittals, coordinating with foremen and supervisors, performing site surveys, tracking progress and quantities, supporting QA/testing, and contributing to client reporting. Requires a BS in Construction Management or related field, experience in electrical/instrumentation construction, ability to read electrical drawings, strong organizational and communication skills, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed. Competitive hourly pay with per diem and 6/10s schedule; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management or related field
- Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
- Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Regular and reliable attendance at work
