Job Summary
Conduct field engineering and design of temporary structures including formwork, false work, lift plans, trestles, sheet piling, and shoring. Assist the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Project Engineer in engineering, planning, and scheduling construction operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely performance. Coordinate survey crew activities, manage quantity tracking and reporting, and prepare equipment requisitions for approval. Resolve field problems and conflicts while liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce. Assist in schedule preparations, identify critical work items, prepare long-lead item lists, and document time and material work. Maintain a daily diary of project progress and take regular project photos. Assist in project closeout and prepare RFIs as required.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degrees in engineering / construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- minimum of 4 years similar construction engineering and/or surveying experience
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in database and project controls computer application systems, MS Excel, MS Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
