Job Summary
Assist Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Project Engineer in engineering, planning, and scheduling construction operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project performance. Perform field engineering and design of temporary structures including formwork, false work, lift plans, trestles, sheet piling, and shoring. Coordinate survey crew activities, manage quantity tracking and reporting, and prepare equipment and material requisitions for approval. Resolve field problems and conflicts by liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce, while notifying the Project Engineer of potential cost impacts. Prepare RFIs, document time and material work, maintain daily project diaries with photos, and assist in project closeout. Requires a 4-year engineering degree and 4 years of construction experience; starting salary is $70,000.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degrees in engineering / construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- minimum of 4 years similar construction engineering and/or surveying experience
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in database and project controls computer application systems, MS Excel, MS Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing
