Job Summary
Oversee project controls and management for multiple disciplines, including scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project reporting. Represent the company professionally with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors while interfacing with project management on status updates. Execute daily site operations by performing quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and technical drafting to support field work. Manage labor timesheets, compile average labor rates, and coordinate work groups to ensure quality plans and inspections are completed. Lead safety initiatives through toolbox meetings, job safety analysis training, and site reviews. Administer project costs, generate change orders, and maintain master schedules with detailed manpower curves. Direct home office procurement functions, supervise subcontractor operations, and act as the primary company representative in the Project Manager's absence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Industrial experience preferred
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months)
- Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
- Maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks
- Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals
- Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions
- Moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas
- May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
- Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings

- Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet
- Travel required up to 90%
- Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record
- Position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week
- Schedule is subject to projects requirements
