Job Summary
Field Engineer to provide technical/engineering support for heavy civil construction, ensuring compliance with design, codes, and standards. Responsibilities include interpreting contract drawings and specifications, coordinating across discipline groups, preparing RFI’s and submittals, contributing to monthly progress/payments reporting, coordinating with subcontractors, field verification of construction to contract requirements, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Requires a four-year engineering degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; civil background with submittals and subcontractor management is preferred. Ability to work both office and field environments, with willingness to work evening and overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year engineering degree
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience (or equivalent)
- Civil background with construction submittals/subcontractor management/field quality control inspection experience
- Commitment to safety and quality with adherence to safe work practices
- Team player and good interpersonal skills
- Willing to work evening and overnight shifts
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, surveying, scheduling, cost tracking preferred
