Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for installation and maintenance of networking hardware (routers, switches, WAPs), telephony equipment and circuits, and Cisco UCS/Nexus hardware, plus retail technology systems (POS, digital signage, video surveillance) across Austin and San Antonio. Role involves site surveys, cabling, and keeping company vehicle, inventory, and tools in order. Requires travel to often distant sites, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work mostly Monday–Friday with overtime/call-out pay. Paid training included to achieve Cisco Field Technician certification within 90 days; company provides a paid training program and support. The position is a full-time, benefits-eligible role with guaranteed 40 hours weekly, and a drug-free workplace policy. Selected candidates will attend hardware and cabling training at the Global Technology Center in Strongsville, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- CompTIA, Cisco, Cabling, and PBX system certifications a plus
- Selected candidates must obtain Cisco Field Tech certification within 90 days of employment at Acuative
- Must possess a valid drivers’ license with good driving record
- Willing to work mostly M-F with opportunity for overtime and call out pay after hours
- Ability to travel as needed to meet customer SLAs
- Able to lift up to fifty pounds and climb ladders
