Job Summary
Field Engineer II responsible for installation and maintenance of networking hardware (routers, switches, WAPs), telephony circuits, Cisco UCS/Nexus equipment, and retail tech systems (POS, digital signage, video surveillance). Performs site surveys/audits, maintains company vehicle/tools, and submits job-related documentation. Requires travel to customer sites (markets including Midland and Lubbock, TX). Training provided with paid certification opportunities (Cisco CCT Field Technician; must obtain Cisco Field Tech certification within 90 days). Emphasizes hands-on hardware wiring, cable management, power tools, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; willingness to work mostly Monday–Friday with potential overtime and after-hours call-out. Qualifications include familiarity with networking hardware, Cisco CLI, VOIP/PBX, cabling standards, and experience supporting servers/compute hardware; must possess a valid driver’s license and Covid-19 vaccination. Notes include paid training, company vehicle, and travel to assigned sites; drug-free workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent EXPERIENCE
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Covid-19 vaccination
- Willingness to travel and work mostly M-F with overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
- Selected candidates must obtain Cisco Field Tech certification within 90 days of employment
