Job Summary
As a Field Engineer I (AV) at Pavion, you will be responsible for programming, configuring, commissioning, and maintaining Mission Critical Audio-Visual systems. You will diagnose and troubleshoot system problems, manage technical challenges, and provide training on AV technologies to end users. Candidates should have a deep understanding of Audio-Visual technologies, experience in system installation and maintenance, and a valid driver’s license. The role requires traveling throughout New England and participation in on-call rotations. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with specific AV systems and industry certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years in Audio-Visual industry
- 2-4 years in installation, support, programming, maintaining, and servicing of low voltage systems
- OSHA 10 certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic level knowledge and experience with DSP modifications
- Basic level knowledge and experience with control system troubleshooting
- Experience with basic networking design and setup
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Crestron, QSC, Shure, Biamp, Barco
- Industry specific certifications (AVIXA CTS, Crestron CTI, QSC Q-Sys, Extron, SynAudCon)
- MA Class D, Systems Technician License
- RI TST License(s)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel throughout New England as required
- Must have a reliable form of transportation if a company vehicle is not provided
- Must be able to work off hours if/when projects require it
- Must be able to participate in the Service Department on-call rotation
