Job Summary
Provide technical input on integrated solutions, network design, and field engineering projects. Perform installation, maintenance, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of system solutions in the field. Integrate new sensors and telemetry into existing systems, modify configurations for unique site limitations, and program data loggers with customer-specific requirements. Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to resolve root causes, determine performance standards, and develop documentation for design and test procedures. Coordinate with project management to ensure objectives are met while applying data integrity standards and maintaining accurate project documentation. Communicate effectively with customers to provide equipment recommendations and resolve issues, ensuring standard operating practices are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in physical/natural science, engineering, hydrology or an applicable equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training
- 1-3 years of technical/field service experience
- Proven track record in project management
- Proven track record in customer service operations
- Proven track record in fiscal management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for data related to meteorology, environmental monitoring, flood warning, wildfire, and public safety
- Ability to read, design and produce electrical schematics and wiring diagram drawings
- Understanding of hydrological and meteorological engineering principles
- Broad and extensive knowledge of remote data collection systems
- Experience with GIS mapping software and tools
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving ability
