Job Summary
Manage submittal and RFI processes for specific definable features of work, utilizing PMA and other programs to closure. Evaluate and distribute project design and engineering documents, then prepare the team for site mobilization by researching living arrangements and arranging short form subcontracts with local entities. Draft subcontracts and purchase agreements while utilizing the Best Practice Database for SWIs and quality documents. Manage QA/QC as per the Project Quality Plan and oversee inventory processes, coordinating DFW prep meetings, inspections, and punch list final inspections. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering and the ability to travel up to 100%. The base pay range is $78,800–$98,500, with additional incentives and benefits including medical, dental, and 401k. Mortenson, a top builder and EPC firm, works across markets including sports, renewable energy, and data centers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current driver's license
- Ability to independently apply principles and theories of construction management or engineering
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and documents (e.g., blueprints, design documents)
- Basic knowledge of project management principles (scheduling, estimating)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet
- Ability to learn and use construction management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and transfer information between different levels of workers
- Ability to multitask
- Active listening skills and effective communication
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience on construction job sites preferred
