Job Summary
Diagnose problems with existing equipment, fix them, and maintain site infrastructure while overseeing installation of new technologies. Conduct research to identify issues and develop solutions, then test installed machines for performance and safety. Interpret technical requirements from non-technical descriptions and communicate fluently with customers, foremen, and supervisors. Manage technical work with little supervision in adverse climatic conditions, including standing, kneeling, lifting up to sixty pounds, and performing manual labor outdoors for eight to ten hours daily. Prioritize tasks and maintain awareness of concurrent jobsite activities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site foremen, supervisors and fellow employees
- Must be able to work eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day, performing work outdoors in all types of weather, including extreme heat
- Job requires standing, kneeling, lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, pulling, squatting and walking
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work
- Sound ability to diagnose problems with existing equipment and fixing them is also essential for field engineers
- Ability to interpret technical issues through the non-technical description provided
- Ability to communicate fluently with the customers and should possess good customer service skills
- Should possess good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks
