Job Summary
Conduct field observations at project sites for inspection and testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt pavements. Test construction materials to ensure conformance with specifications and perform laboratory testing. Log test borings, write reports outlining findings, and perform or assist in routine equipment maintenance. Adhere to written corporate safety policy and obtain required certifications such as OSHA 10 Hour, CPR/First Aid, and defensive driving. Maintain a valid driver's license and DOT medical certification while driving or riding in motor vehicles. Requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 75 pounds, and exposure to various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- Valid Driver's license (may require a specific type of license depending on project and state requirements)
- Active DOT Medical certification or the ability to obtain this certification
- Safety training and certifications which may include, but are not limited to: OSHA 10 Hour, confined space, CPR/First Aid, defensive driving, and spotter's training; or the ability to obtain these certifications
- Ability to meet the assigned company's regulatory insurance requirements for owned autos determined through Motor Vehicle Record Check (MVR)
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds plus twisting motion

Desired Qualifications
- E.I.T. certification preferred
- Preferred experience in engineering field inspections
