Job Summary
Lead field teams in ISI Non-Destructive Examination activities for nuclear power-plant outages, providing technical direction, task leadership, and coordination of GEH and contingent personnel. Develop and prep automated tooling/equipment for outage inspections, perform drywell inspections, evaluate performance issues, and contribute to development of new NDE techniques and tooling improvements. Interface with customers, supervise up to 15 contractors, ensure safety/quality standards, support business activities, and travel up to 75% domestically and internationally (remote work possible from a US-based home when not traveling). Requires ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, pass respirator/fitness tests, and operate in radiation-controlled environments; provides comprehensive benefits and an eligible relocation option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from accredited University
- Eligibility Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to domestically and internationally plant sites (Can work remote from US based home when not traveling)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day.
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical.
- Ability to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access.
- Ability to work under high stress conditions.
- Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated areas.
- Ability to work 12 hrs./day and 7 days/week when needed for project delivery.
