Job Summary
Manage a team of 40-60 hourly canvassers in Charlotte and Raleigh, recruiting, training, and holding staff accountable to daily goals while personally canvassing several days a week to lead by example. Develop strategic plans to reach targeted voters, implement quality control measures, and maintain a healthy, safe working environment that fosters equity and justice. Handle administrative duties including reporting data, record keeping, and processing payroll. Start August 11th through Election Day; salary ranges from $1,146 to $1,500 per week.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience, ability to motivate, grow, and manage a large team
- Eagerness to lead from the front and canvass several days a week
- Extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to instill that quality in others
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong passion for community organizing and fostering civic engagement
- Track record of equity and inclusion
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
- Local knowledge/experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience running paid canvasses or managing paid employees
- Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN
- Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities
- Facilitation experience
- Experience in and/or passion for reproductive rights
