Job Summary
Field Diesel Mechanic at United Rentals specializing in maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. Responsibilities include traveling to customer sites for repair/maintenance, keeping a clean and professional service vehicle, assisting in training of lower level technicians, maintaining accurate work orders and documentation, and aiding with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, 3-5 years of equipment-maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, ownership of position-appropriate tools, and excellent customer service and communication skills. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
