Job Summary
Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including pre-delivery work and warranty repairs. Provide professional field service as directed by the Service Manager, potentially during weekends or after hours, while communicating findings and timelines clearly with equipment owners. Manage all parts and supplies, complete work orders accurately, and participate in ongoing technical training to maintain current product knowledge. Proactively recommend maintenance upgrades that improve equipment performance and follow all safety rules and regulations. This role requires 2+ years of related experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program
- 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision
- Clean driving record
- Must have own tools
- Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights and perform 50% or more work offsite/in the field
- Ability to work flexible/on call hours
- Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Exceptional documentation and communication abilities
