Job Summary
Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including pre-delivery work and warranty repairs. Execute field service calls, potentially during weekends or after-hours, while maintaining safety, professionalism, and profitability. Communicate findings, repair needs, and timelines clearly with equipment owners and the service team, then complete all required work orders and documentation accurately. Request, install, and manage parts and supplies as needed. Participate in ongoing technical training to maintain product knowledge and proactively recommend maintenance upgrades that add value for customers. Maintain a clean driving record and possess the ability to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience
- Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program
- 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision
- Clean driving record
- Must have own tools
- Must have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights and perform 50% or more work offsite/in the field
- Ability to work flexible/on-call hours
- Keen attention to detail, high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently
- Exceptional documentation and communication abilities
