Job Summary
Perform safe maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer-owned equipment using independent judgment. Maintain electronic documentation of work orders daily and travel to job sites for repairs while managing service vehicles and assisting with equipment and parts logistics. This role supports the Service Department within United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, offering opportunities for advancement into leadership positions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of tools
- Knowledge of construction equipment
- Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
- Superior customer service
- Teamwork
- Verbal/written communication skills
