Field Design Specialist I

Be the conduit between customers and crews, designing safe, cost-effective electric/gas solutions from concept to construction. Use MAXIMO and GIS tools, prepare estimates, work orders, maps and sketches, ensure sag calculations accuracy, manage service requests, and assist in scope/schedule development with engineers. Perform routine field work including locating services, load determination, easements, staking and survey tasks, and coordinate with hourly/salaried supervisors to plan work. Opportunities to grow into a Senior Designer within a few years through hands-on training and mentorship. Requires a valid driver's license and willingness to travel; primary residence within a reasonable distance of the designated headquarters and operating center. Strong math/physics knowledge, ability to interpret codes and standards, proficiency in drafting and project-management concepts, and effective communication skills are expected.
