Job Summary
Senior Director/Field CTO focusing on Networking Thought Leadership, engaging customers, partners, and industry forums to shape and communicate the strategic direction of HPE’s networking portfolio. Develop and curate industry-specific technical positions (white papers, presentations, patents, market positioning), lead large-scale sponsored engagements, and deliver keynote speeches globally for executive audiences and technical professionals. Maintain in-depth knowledge of current and emerging networking technologies, standards, and industry trends; collaborate with internal teams to influence product roadmaps and innovation strategies; mentor and model leadership within the technical community and engage with external industry forums. Requires at least 50% travel to customer, company or industry event locations globally; role can be performed on a remote basis from the US or EMEA.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in networking technology, product development, or related domains with a proven track record of innovation
- Expertise in networking standards, emerging technologies, and industry verticals such as enterprise, telecom, and data centers
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including executives
- Proven track record of public speaking engagements
- Demonstrated leadership in shaping technology strategy, influencing product design, and mentoring teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
