Field CTO – Retail & Commerce AI

Job Summary
Field CTO for Retail & Commerce AI is a senior technical leadership role focused on converting market demand into a scalable, domain-specific platform. You will own technical product strategy and GTM motion, engage directly with customer CTOs to map Nebius capabilities to their needs, close complex deals, and architect patterns that solve market-wide challenges. Responsibilities include executive technical leadership, lighthouse deal support, translating customer needs into actionable requirements for product and engineering, field enablement with technical narratives and reference architectures, cross-functional alignment, architectural guidance to maximize value from Nebius services, and ecosystem/M&A evaluation. The role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, distributed systems, GPU-centric compute, and Retail AI workflows, plus strong communication, ambiguity tolerance, and ~20–30% travel. You may work from the London office or remotely.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience in AI, Data Science, ML, MLOps and Complex Integrations
- senior technical leadership role (e.g., CTO / Technical co-founder)
- GTM fluency with Sales teams
- experience defining product/platform strategy based on market feedback
- strong hands-on understanding of GPU-centric infrastructure, HPC, storage and networking
- retail AI workflows experience (agentic commerce, omnichannel, product discovery, etc.)
- strong executive communication and ability to influence leadership
- ability to operate in fast-moving environments
- travel willingness ~20-30%
