Job Summary
Field Crew Chief leads field surveying activities for residential land surveying, using GPS, total stations, and data collectors to determine elevations and property boundaries for title surveys and elevation certificates. Work is performed outdoors year-round in varying conditions; tasks include marking measurements, collecting and uploading data, maintaining data quality, and performing basic calculations. Requires moving between standing and seated positions, the ability to lift 30–70 pounds (with assistance), and adherence to company policies. The role collaborates with managers, clients, and team members, and involves performing duties in a safe, ethical, and professional manner. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and driving record meeting insurance requirements
- Ability to operate survey instruments (total station, data collector, GPS)
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations and understand algebra, trigonometry, geometry
- Proficiency with software/e-technology/cloud-based solutions used in surveying
