Job Summary
Conduct boundary, ALTA, construction layout, level runs, and GPS surveying while troubleshooting field issues and reading plans. Train instrument operators and surveyor technicians, directing on-site services for installation, maintenance, and repair. Coordinate service contracts, schedules, and inventory; maintain documentation and support service failures until resolved. Complete daily time sheets, man-power logs, and equipment checks while communicating project details to crew and managers. Follow safety protocols and compliant procedures across multiple job sites. Requires 100% travel, valid driver's license, CST Level 2 exam, and ability to lift 50 lbs. in outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
- at least 2 years as an instrument operator
- Pass the CST Level 2 exam
- Valid driver's license
- satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of survey principles and procedures as they pertain to: ALTA, boundary, construction layout, vertical and horizontal control
- Ability to effectively utilize data collector to perform onsite calculations
- Outstanding communication and facilitation skills
- Strong management and leadership skills

- Proven ability to build strong partnerships and relationships both internally and externally
- Strong troubleshooting and solution-oriented approach to problem solving
- Knowledge and understanding of required trigonometric and other basic math functions
- Ability to organize, analyze and present information and data in a clear, concise and meaningful way
- including MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- effectively move about and navigate multiple job sites in a day
