Job Summary
Field-based Controls Technician (Chemfeed Equipment Specialist) for Veolia’s Chemical Solutions and Monitoring unit. Responsible for routine maintenance, standard installations, on-site troubleshooting, commissioning and configuring chemfeed equipment, and providing technical support to sales teams and end customers across Lincoln and Omaha, NE (within ~200 miles). Requires instrumentation/electronics background, ability to troubleshoot logically, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to travel 50-60% within the assigned region. Duties include performing site scope-outs, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and documenting service activities while adhering to safety and EH&S policies. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to work in varied environments including Class 1 Div 2 hazard classifications. Required Qualifications
- Technical degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline. Candidates with a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E), OR plant operations/maintenance experience, OR at least 2 years of relevant training (college, military, technical/vocational school) in Instrumentation and Electronics, working with 120VAC and low voltage, analog and digital communication, installation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with digital communications including MODBUS, OPC, ProfiNet, networking, and cellular communications
- Certification in relevant technical areas (electrical, instrumentation, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle frequently
- Experience with water treatment processes and process control equipment (preferred)
- Ability to work independently in multiple environments (indoor/outdoor) including hazardous classifications
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
- Time budgeting and travel planning skills
- Safety, health and environmental policy compliance
