Job Summary
Field Controls Technician (Chemfeed Equipment Specialist) for Veolia’s Chemical Solutions and Monitoring unit. Based near Denver, CO, or in southeastern Wyoming, this role supports sales teams and end customers by performing routine and preventative maintenance, standard installations, and on-site troubleshooting of chemfeed and process control equipment. Requires approximately 50% overnight travel and frequent local travel within Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana, with occasional travel to other Western U.S. locations. Key duties include site scope-outs, calibration and commissioning of equipment, installation of components, on-site technical support, preventative maintenance programs, and thorough documentation. Ideal candidates have instrumentation/electronics expertise, strong troubleshooting, effective communication with customers, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Travel readiness (50-60%) and the ability to operate in diverse environments (including hazardous classifications) are essential. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits, with a salary range of $33-$45 per hour, and requires eligibility to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline
- Candidates with a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Instrumentation and Electronics (I&E), or plant operations/maintenance experience, OR at least 2 years of relevant training (college, military, technical/vocational school) in Instrumentation and Electronics
- Experience with 120VAC and low voltage, analog and digital communication, installation and troubleshooting
- Mechanical aptitude for installations, mounting equipment, plumbing, conduit, tubing in PVC, SS, and copper
- A full valid driver's license and willingness to travel (a learner's permit or G1/G2 class will not qualify)
- Preferred: Experience with chemical feed systems and process control equipment
- Certification in relevant technical areas (electrical, instrumentation, etc.)
