Job Summary
Conduct regular field visits to monitor construction progress, verify adherence to specifications, and perform quality control inspections. Serve as the on-site point of contact between project leadership and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, OSHA regulations, and program protocols. Document site observations, contractor performance, and non-compliance issues while assisting with contractor onboarding and orientation. Identify and escalate potential delays or safety violations to project leadership and collaborate with site supervisors to resolve issues. Maintain accurate records related to inspections and correspondence. This role supports the Georgia Housing Recovery & Rehousing Program, bridging the gap between field crews and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field-based construction oversight, contractor coordination, or quality control inspections
- Familiarity with construction methods, site safety regulations (OSHA), and quality assurance best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with contractors, construction crews, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort using field tracking or inspection software/tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Proof of insurance may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in disaster recovery, housing rehabilitation, or government-funded programs is strongly preferred
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
