Job Summary
Oversee all on-site construction, electromechanical, and civil activities while ensuring project execution aligns with safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Coordinate day-to-day site operations, resolve field issues, and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders. Manage outage coordination, tagging procedures, and safety audits in accordance with NEC, NESC, OSHA, FERC, NERC, and CIP standards. This contract role offers an hourly rate of $65-$72, with on-site M-F availability in Binghamton, Ithaca, or Rochester, NY. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, along with NICET Level II certification for the Rochester position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) or equivalent
- at least 10 years of relevant experience in: Construction management
- at least 10 years of relevant experience in: Testing and maintenance of electrical equipment
- at least 10 years of relevant experience in: Relay protection and control systems
- at least 10 years of relevant experience in: Field commissioning and troubleshooting
- at least 10 years of relevant experience in: Electrical engineering in field environments
- at least 10 years of relevant experience in: SCADA and automation systems
- Knowledge of substation/transmission/distribution systems
- Experience with outage coordination, tagging procedures, and safety audits
- Familiarity with NEC, NESC, OSHA, FERC, NERC, and CIP standards
- Background check clearance per IUSA Contractor policy
- Valid Driver's License
- First Aid / AED Certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Training
- NICET Level II certification
