Job Summary
Execute commissioning activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. Build onsite commissioning plans based on project conditions to ensure on-time, high-quality commissioning; provide installation training to EPC before project start; supervise and coordinate on-site commissioning activities with focus on quality, safety, progress, and issue resolution; train local technicians and contractors on system installation checks, energization, parameter setting, testing, troubleshooting; allocate tasks to on-site staff and contractors; maintain on-site customer relationships with timely progress and fault-resolution updates; manage on-site commissioning tools, spare parts, and documentation (e.g., daily JHA and commissioning reports); establish relationships with third parties/vendors; collaborate with multinational teams under demanding timelines; train, coach, and mentor new team members. It requires long-term outdoor work, travel (70%), and fluency in English with Mandarin a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in electric related major
- Over 2 years project commissioning experience, solar or battery project preferred
- Over 1 year energy related work background
- Working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the market
