Job Summary
Educate physicians on device handling, implantation, and troubleshooting techniques for Sapien M3 (TMVR) cases, primarily in Texas with additional US coverage. Coordinate one-on-one training sessions and in-service education programs in hospital environments, providing on-site, real-time guidance during clinical implants and proactively preparing contingency plans. Document procedural case observations for regulatory requirements and collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback on device features. Candidates must be based in Houston, Dallas, or surrounding areas, with a willingness to travel up to 75%. This Field Clinical Specialist role supports the TMTT business unit's innovative portfolio of technologies to address unmet clinical needs for patients with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease.
Required Qualifications
- An associate's degree in related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience
- Medical Device industry experience
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- A willingness to travel up to 75% (includes car, air, overnight)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in interventional cardiology/cardiac cath lab
- Clinical experience in one following specialties or similar specialties such as: CV Sonography (RDCS/RDS), Nursing (NP/RN/BSN/MSN), Physician Assistant (PA-C), Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/CVT/RTR/RCES/CST)
- Interventional echo-navigation imaging expertise, specifically with 2D/3D TEE MPR (multiplanar reconstruction) experience and CT-imaging experience
- Cardiac surgery experience
- Clinical engineering experience from industry-related positions that support clinical development and clinical case support
- Strong knowledge in cardiovascular science and valvular heart disease processes
- Candidates based in Houston, Dallas or surrounding area
