Job Summary
Field Clinical Engineer is the cross-functional hub for commercial enablement and therapy outcomes for Saluda’s SmartLoop technology, serving as the regional field lead for clinical and technical support, product performance, and clinician engagement. Responsible for facilitating clinical/technical intel to inform commercial execution, delivering in-field education and training, supporting launches of neuromodulation platforms, maintaining relationships with physicians and staff, providing ongoing clinical expertise through grand rounds and hospital programs, assisting with in-field training of new hires, supporting commercial targets and data-driven optimization, and offering remote and in-person troubleshooting. Must travel 40-60% (including overnights) and be capable of operating within hospital and lab environments; excellent verbal/written communication and ability to influence customers are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (highly preferred) or relevant technical/health-related field
- MS, PhD or applicable advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in Medical Device, Health Care or in a clinical setting
- 2-3 years clinical medical device experience or equivalent, ideally with closed loop implantable electronic medical devices (Neuromodulation, CRM)
- Ability to travel 40-60% of the time – including overnights
- High-level of comfort in navigating medical environments (labs and hospital settings)
- Proven ability to lead and influence customers; strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to present effectively in writing and verbally
- Organized, proactive, adaptable
- Located 1 hour away from major airport highly preferred
