Job Summary
Investigate and evaluate onsite damage to prepare complete repair estimates, including accessing roofs, attics, crawl spaces, and basements. Handle moderate to complex claims independently from first notice of loss to final closure while coordinating vendor services such as contractors, emergency repairs, and cleaning. Explain coverage of loss, assist policyholders with itemization of damages, and manage emergency repairs and additional living arrangements. Work in a vehicle daily within the Bothell, WA territory, with occasional desk assignments and up to 10% overnight travel for training. This role offers a sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursement for experienced, licensed candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of claims handling procedures and operations
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgment
- Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of directly related experience
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and organize your day
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated understanding of building construction principles
- 10% travel
