Field Based Veterinarian - Florida

Job Summary

Coordinate and deliver technical expertise to sales representatives, distributors, and veterinarians regarding all Nutramax product lines. Administer the AAVSB, RACE program and obtain CE approval for company-sponsored meetings. Provide sales support through group and individualized product training, professional development lectures, and lunch and learns. Schedule visits to veterinary schools to meet instructors and set up educational presentations. Assist with developing support materials for new or existing products. Attend industry conferences to monitor lectures and assist sales with booth training. Provide technical support to veterinarians and pet owners via direct contact. Perform product training and technical information dissemination while communicating effectively with Key Opinion Leaders. This role requires up to 60% travel and regular attendance. Candidates must reside in Florida, preferably near an airport, and hold a DVM or VMD degree with at least three years of in-clinic experience.

Required Qualifications

  • DVM or VMD
  • Minimum of 3 years of in-clinic veterinary experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary industry experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft office (excel and powerpoint)
  • Must reside in Florida
  • 50-60% Travel Required
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Must possess RACE certification
  • Must be able to administer the AAVSB, RACE program
  • Must be able to obtain CE approval for company sponsored meetings/lectures as well as KOLs
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with Key Opinion Leaders in the veterinary community
  • Must be able to provide sales support by providing group and individualized product training, professional development lectures and lunch and learns
  • Must be able to schedule visits to assigned veterinary schools to meet with instructors/pharmacy leads as well as to set up educational presentations for the students
  • Must be able to assist with the development of support materials for new and/or existing products
  • Must be able to attend industry conferences to monitor lectures, provide appropriate literature and materials to the speakers in attendance and assist sales with training at the booth
  • Must be able to provide technical support to veterinarians and/or pet owners who directly contact Nutramax with product questions
  • Must be able to provide professional support for AER's
  • Must be able to communicate directly with veterinarian of record and/or pet owner
  • Must be able to provide product training and technical information
  • Must be able to perform other assigned duties and follow verbal and written instructions issued by Supervisor(s)/management to meet company goals and objectives
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment
  • Regular attendance is required
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Must be able to work closely field sales team and field sales management team
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a preemployment background check and drug screen (subject to applicable law)

Desired Qualifications

  • Must reside in Florida with preferred location to be within reasonable driving distance of a major airport
  • Must possess RACE certification
