Job Summary
Design, program, and configure PLC systems for packaged equipment and process facilities while supporting control strategy implementation based on P&IDs. Participate in field installation, loop checks, startup, and commissioning activities, and troubleshoot instrumentation issues during project execution. Collaborate with engineering disciplines and customers across Oil & Gas, Utilities, Healthcare, and Industrial Facilities to ensure system integration and develop documentation deliverables. Work remotely from a home office approximately 50% of the time with the remainder deployed to project sites nationwide. Gain exposure to a wide range of industries and system types within a team being built from the ground up under the guidance of a senior lead engineer.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or a related technical role.
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs.
- Familiarity with packaged equipment such as pump skids, compressor systems, or similar process units.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and basic control loop functionality.
- Experience supporting system startup, commissioning, or field troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% to project sites across the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in midstream Oil & Gas or other process industries.
- Exposure to EPC project environments.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communications.
- Strong mechanical/process awareness to support field integration work.
