Job Summary
Conduct field visits to farmer locations to collect evidence for audits and investigations, performing farmer verification by cross-checking identity, contact details, and presence in program records. Verify input delivery by checking actual receipt of seeds, fertilizer, and tools against delivery records, while conducting physical warehouse and inventory checks to verify stock levels and storage conditions. Ensure accurate loan repayment records through passbook audits and transaction verification to maintain program integrity and detect fraudulent activities. Manage multiple audits and investigations with competing timelines, documenting findings clearly and communicating professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of fraud detection methods and common red flags in farmer lending and input delivery
- Knowledge of loan repayment processes, passbook systems, and payment reconciliation procedures
- Familiarity with input delivery verification and inventory management
- Understanding of organizational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance requirements
- Basic knowledge of Excel and digital data collection tools
- Field investigation and evidence collection; ability to gather accurate, reliable information in diverse field settings
- Attention to detail: ability to spot discrepancies, inconsistencies, and irregularities in records and transactions
- Data entry and analysis: proficiency with Excel, Google Forms, and basic data organization and analysis
- Professional skepticism: ability to question and verify information without presumption of honesty
- Communication: ability to document findings clearly and communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Integrity and confidentiality: commitment to handling sensitive information responsibly and ethically
- Time management and multitasking: ability to manage multiple audits and investigations with competing timelines
- Flexibility and adaptability: willingness to work in varying field conditions, including weekends when necessary
- B.sc or HND in Economics, Accounting, Criminology or related field
- Ability to develop and manage project trackers and dashboards with little manager support
