Job Summary
Lead a field team of approximately 20 people to safely manage operating and capital costs while maximizing production of 32,000 Boe/d in the Grande Prairie Central District. Provide leadership and direction to staff on Canadian Natural's Safety Management Systems, working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Technical teams to maintain wellhead-to-sales runtime performance above 97%. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual operating budgets while maintaining cost control for your area, spending over 60% of your time in the field managing staff performance and on-site work planning. Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on regulatory requirements. This pivotal role supports significant multi-year area development within the energy industry.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of field experience in an operational, maintenance or technical role
- A Production Field Operations Certificate
- Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations
- Proven team leadership experience in a supervisory or mentorship capacity
- Strong communication skills
- Proven project management skills in planning, preparations and execution
- Graduate with Engineering Degree, Technology Diploma or Journeyman certification
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of oil and gas economics
- Safety sensitive position
