Job Summary
Field Applications Engineer for the Northeast provides technical differentiation to drive specification position and advance the sales process. Supports conversions, specification development, new product launches, and other pre-sale efforts; builds relationships with key account stakeholders at a technical level; serves as the technical linkage between customer and Mersen; travels as required (up to 50%) and works fully remotely from MA, MD, NH, CT, or NY. Responsibilities include maintaining technical proficiency, supporting the sales process, providing technical guidance, engaging in PAC processes, translating customer insights into product ideas, supporting trade shows/seminars with hands-on demonstrations and presentations, and ongoing self-learning to stay current with technologies and applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or higher degree preferred
- Excellent communicator of technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate field learnings into product ideas and support new product launches
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
