Job Summary
The Field Applications Specialist provides in-field technical direction and support to customers on Cepheid CLIA waived and Moderate Complex diagnostic systems, including installation, instrument operation training, assay implementation, connectivity solutions, and ongoing customer care. Responsibilities include delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Service teams, developing account strategies to grow CLIA waived and Moderate Complex business, coordinating cross-functional implementation activities in health systems, and independently managing a travel-heavy territory with up to 75% travel. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree with relevant clinical/technical experience, strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce, and the ability to train customers and ensure successful system implementations. The position supports remote work arrangements from Seattle, WA, and involves regular travel and physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of related work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Technologist (MT)/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) experience OR Minimum of 3 years’ formal training experience; OR any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
- Travel, up to 75%, by car and flying in and out of airports with possible long wait times
- Demonstrated proficiency with corporate processes and administrative requirements (e.g.: Salesforce.com, Monthly Reports, regulatory requirements)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, especially PowerPoint, online tools, and systems: LMS, Content Management, Salesforce.com, Zoom and Microsoft Teams
