Job Summary
Field Application Engineer role focusing on test solutions, development of test programs, and production support for customers’ products, with on-site, remote, or overseas travel. Responsibilities include test correlation and data analysis, supporting sales presentations and product demonstrations, providing software/hardware development and consultation, building customer-specific tools for test program generation and data analysis, delivering technical expertise and value, training and troubleshooting at customer sites, and driving design-ins to make Teradyne's platform the preferred solution. Required skills include advanced degree in electronics/electro-optical domains, 5+ years semiconductor ATE experience, proficiency in VBA/C/C++/C#/Python, strong troubleshooting, and excellent English communication; knowledge of Silicon photonics, Co-Packaged Optics, and PIC measurement or testing is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Master degree in Electro-Optical Engineering, Photonics and Optoelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Micro-electronics, Computer Science, automation, or equivalent
- 5+ years semiconductors ATE experience
- Knowledge and experience on Teradyne ATE platforms, such as UltraFLEX+, UltraFLEX, Flex, J750, Magnum, Eagle or other semiconductor ATE platforms
- Proficient in VBA, VB, C, C++, C# or Python, and have experience in application tool development
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both English
- Understanding of Silicon photonics, CPO(Co-Packaged Optics) and PIC measurement or testing is preferred
