Job Summary
Serve as a domain authority for nVent Data Solutions products, providing first-line product support to customers and colleagues. Evaluate customer RFQs to build costing and quotes with technical and commercial content, then prepare and submit quotations and proposals for non-standard products using internal CPQ and ERP systems. Conduct product training for customers and distributors on quoting tools, while preparing compliance documents against customer specifications. Lead strategic projects for product improvements, cost reduction, and new product development, and represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees. Provide market-specific intelligence and feedback to commercial teams, assist with voice-of-customer visits, and support the sales team during the closing phase. Work 100% remotely with an average 30% travel requirement across the US and Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering
- Equivalent work experience in Data Center cooling, infrastructure, design, and construction
- Ability to work 100% remotely
- Ability to travel on average 30% across mainly the US and Canada
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a technical application's role supporting Data Center product solutions
- Strong technical background of Air and Liquid Cooling Solutions in the Data Center space
- Understanding of Data Center Power Architecture from UPS to rack/equipment level
