Job Summary
Field Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical partner for ODM/OSAT and Foundry customers in Taiwan (Taipei) as they evaluate and adopt our high-performance liquid-metal thermal interface material (TIM). Role based in Taipei with remote work and frequent on-site customer visits. You will lead on-site technical integration of TIM products during early- to mid-stage engagements, support device assembly and testing trials, document precise customer technical requirements (geometric, load, assembly constraints, thermal budgets, reliability standards), and translate findings into actionable technical work. Prepare and deliver technical content such as application notes, design guides, and data reports; document designs for coordination and lead local fabrication of provisions and mockups to meet customer schedules. Collaborate with business development to drive customer-specific solutions, support qualification processes, and liaise with US-based R&D. Skills include CAD modeling, prototyping, mechanical/thermal testing, data analysis, and report generation; familiarity with elastomeric materials, thermal test setups, X-ray, and FEA is a plus; bilingual Mandarin/English required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in semiconductor packaging, electronics assembly, thermal interface materials, or applications engineering in a B2B technical product company
- Strong understanding of system-level processor packaging/thermal design and associated reliability testing
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical efforts and deliver customer-specific solutions on time
- Excellent communication skills; Mandarin and English proficiency
