Job Summary
Field Adjuster (Residential or Commercial) in Wichita, KS, 1099 contract role. Responsibilities include completing residential and commercial field property inspections using Xactimate, investigating claims by interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses, and officials, recommending claim reserves, obtaining and interpreting reports, reviewing coverage forms/endorsements, and delivering well-documented reports to clients. Required skills include knowledge of property and liability insurance standards, ability to prepare captioned reports, strong verbal and written communication, and time management with customer service focus. Preferred but not required: college degree or professional designations; background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters
- Ability to interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, and officials and inspect damages
- Proficient in reviewing coverage forms and endorsements and producing well-documented initial captioned reports
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Maintain own estimating software (Xactimate preferred)
