Job Summary
The Field Access Manager (FAM) plays a key role in driving access and fostering strategic partnerships within defined accounts and specialties. This field-based position involves educating healthcare providers on access and reimbursement topics, collaborating with Key Account Managers, and ensuring seamless patient access to treatment. The role requires proactive engagement with customers to address issues related to reimbursement, and the ability to analyze account-specific reimbursement problems. Candidates must possess a strong background in market access and patient services, especially in pharmaceutical or biotech sectors, along with problem-solving and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive pharmaceutical/biotech experience focused in Market Access, Sales, and/or account management
- 2+ years in a Patient Services practice support role for a specialty product
- Specialty Pharmacy and Specialty Product Buy & Bill experience
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Ability to travel and cover geography, at a minimum of 2.5 days/week in the field
Desired Qualifications
- Indication/Product launch experience of a buy and bill specialty product
- Experience in the pain marketplace
- Payer account management experience
- Experience in reimbursement for buy and bill and specialty pharmacy access
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must reside within territory.
- Current possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
